Ropa Vieja is a Cuban dish made with shredded beef that has been slowly cooked with onions, peppers, olives, tomato sauce, and spices like cumin and oregano; served with Cuban mojo potatoes—which are roasted potatoes tossed with garlic, onions, olive oil, lime, and seasonings.

Hearty stew made from a combination of the Cajun trinity (green bell peppers, onions, celery) plus shrimp, fish, and sausage; served with Jasmine rice.
